Karl Marx’s German Birthplace to Accept Chinese Statue

A statue of the founding father of communism reading a book will mark his birthplace. The German city of Trier has decided to accept a towering statue of Karl Marx from China marking next year's 200th birthday of the founding father of communism. The city council voted in favor late on Monday with 42 members in favor and seven against. "The decision, however, does not stipulate the size of the sculpture or where it will be placed," said the city council in a statement.
