Calin Georgescu, to the shock of imperialism, quite unexpectedly won the first round of the Romanian presidential that took place on 24 November 2024, and was heading for victory in the race with a comfortable lead in the second, and final, round over the second-place candidate, Elena Lasconi.
Immediately after the first round, Georgescu was portrayed by the imperialist media and its imperialist lackeys in Romania as anti—Nato and a Russophile extremist, the usual formula whenever an anti-establishment candidate wins.
