Iran’s Revolutionary Guard says it uncovered a spy network operating under US and Israeli direction, months after the June war.
Iran announced on Tuesday that it had dismantled what it described as a “subversive network” operating under the direction of US and Israeli intelligence services, months after the 12-day war between the Islamic Republic and Israel.
In a statement carried by state television, the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that “through precise monitoring and intelligence efforts,” its units had identified and neutralized a network “directed by American and Israeli spy agencies” after an extended series of surveillance and control operations.

The IRGC explained that the dismantled cell was part of a wider effort by what it called the “Zionist regime,” which, after its defeat in the June conflict, “shifted its strategy toward disrupting public security in an attempt to compensate for its dismal military failure.”
According to the statement, Israeli intelligence had “established a network of deceived and treacherous elements” aimed at undermining Iran’s stability in the months following the war.
The IRGC said its forces detected, monitored, and ultimately arrested the network’s members “by God’s grace and through the vigilance” of Iranian intelligence officers.
The operation, carried out in coordination with other Iranian security agencies, reportedly took place across several provinces.
The statement added that “affiliated cells connected to the Zionist regime, seeking to carry out acts harmful to national security, were struck and dismantled.” No details were provided about the number of detainees or the specific areas targeted.

Last June, Israel launched unprecedented airstrikes on Iran, killing hundreds, including senior officers and nuclear scientists. Tehran retaliated with missile and drone attacks on Israeli targets, resulting in more than 25 deaths.
The United States, Israel’s key ally, also took part in those confrontations by striking Iranian nuclear facilities before a ceasefire between the two sides went into effect on June 24.
In the months that followed, Iranian authorities have reported multiple arrests and executions of individuals accused of spying for Israel.
In October, the Iranian parliament approved a law increasing penalties for collaboration with foreign intelligence agencies, particularly those linked to the United States and Israel.
