Immediately after the Friday prayers ended on 28 January, tens of thousands of Egyptians in Cairo’s Imbaba neighborhood took to the streets calling for the overthrow of president Hosni Mubarak who has ruled the country for 30 years. Police fired tear gas and fired rubber bullets while protesters responded throwing stones and other projectiles.
