This is a propaganda term to mislead people into being uncritical of what actually happens. This post explains what free trade really means. The Opposite of Free Trade is Properly Regulated Trade  Most countr...

Nazi Forces Suppress Palestinian Protest at Al-Aqsa Mosque

After Friday prayers, Muslim Palestinians, gathered at the Al-Aqsa mosque, in occupied East Jerusalem, to express their rejection of the openly racist behaviour of the Nazi entity who participated in Tuesday’s inflammatory ‘Flag March’. Nazi forces suppressed the demonstrations and injured nine civilians, including a journalist and a child, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS). Thousands of worshipers were violently dispersed from Bab Al Amoud or Damascus Gate, when the army fired rubber-coated steel rounds, teargas and stun grenades at the crowd, Quds News Network reported. The Trillion Dollar War: the Economics of Overextension

BY WALDEN BELLO Photograph Source: The U.S. Army – CC BY 2.0 By the end of the Bush administration, the United States had spent nearly $3 trillion on the war in Afghanistan and Iraq, according to the estimates of Linda Bilmes and Joseph Stiglitz. This was staggering. But as the wars were being pursued, the American public did not realize their true cost because the Bush administration chose to pay for the war via yearly emergency supplemental appropriations, which amounted, as analyst Doug Bandow put it, to a “pay-as-you-go” system. Bush II avoided raising taxes to fund his wars since that was a surefire way of eliciting public opposition to these adventures. Indeed, he cut taxes on the rich. The preferred course of action was massive borrowing, a course that eventually ...

No need for a war that destroys the infrastructure. The fear-mongering and coerced vaxxing apparatus is and will be massively sterilizing as well as resulting in mortality: “More people, according to VAERS, have died after getting the shot in four months during a single vaccination campaign than from all other vaccines combined over more than a decade and a half.” “The U.K.’s government vaccine adverse...

Three Mile Island, Global Warming and the CIA

By Aletho News  This article examines some of the connections between the US and UK National Security apparatus and the appearance of the anthropogenic global warming (AGW) theory beginning after the accident at Three Mile Island. In the mid 1970s “climate cooling” was the topic of articles in popular magazines such as Newsweek with reports of meteorologists being “almost unanimous” that the trend could lead to catastrophic famines, another little ice age or worse. In 1974 Time magazine published an article titled “Another Ice Age?.” In 1975 the New York Times ran an article titled “Scientists Ponder Why World’s Climate Is Changing; a Major Cooling Widely Considered to Be Inevitable,” while in 1978 they reported that “an international...

The planet cannot heal until we rip the mask off the West’s war machine

Jonathan Cook writes: Making political sense of the world can be tricky unless one understands the role of the state in capitalist societies. The state is not primarily there to represent voters or uphold democratic rights and values; it is a vehicle for facilitating and legitimating the concentration of wealth and power into fewer and fewer hands. In a recent post, I wrote about “externalities” – the ability of companies to offset the true costs inherent in the production process. The burden of these costs are covertly shifted on to wider society: that is, on to you and me. Or on to those far from view, in foreign lands. Or on to future generations. Externalising costs means that profits can be maximised for the wealth elite in the here and now.https://platform.twitter.c...

Why did the world react so hysterically to covid?

Over the last few months, I’ve sought to demonstrate that covid is nowhere near as bad as it is portrayed by the mainstream media. I’ve written about how the mortality rate is below 0,2%, meaning that for most people the risk of dying if you get infected is less than one in 500 (and less than one in 3,000 if you’re below 70 years of age). I’ve also written about how the disease preferentially strikes people who are anyway very close to the end of life, so the amount of lifetime lost when someone dies of the disease is usually small. And I’ve noted that 2020 will likely turn out to have been a very average year in terms of overall mortality, in spite of the supposedly deadly pandemic that is currently raging. Some have countered that covid might not be that deadly, but lots ...

The economic crisis and coronavirus

In fighting capitalist exploitation and the war danger, workers will ultimately seek a way out through socialist revolution. Ella Rule Listen to this article on SoundCloud As is abundantly obvious, the coronavirus pandemic is wreaking untold damage on the world economy, and on the national economies of every country on the planet. What the coronavirus has done is to act as the catalyst for the re-emergence with even greater force of the 2008 capitalist crisis of overproduction. The world was already teetering on the brink of economic collapse, and the coronavirus has given it the kick that has sent it spiralling into the abyss. As Eric Toussaint pointed out in a recent article aptly entitled No, the coronavirus is not responsible for the fall of stock...
