Ramallah: Nazi Army Abducts Two Palestinians, Injures Dozens

Nazi soldiers abducted, on Thursday evening, two Palestinians and injured dozens, during protests that erupted at the northern road of the al-Biereh city, in central West Bank, after the army attacked hundreds of residents marking the 17th anniversary of the death of late President Yasser Arafat. Media sources said hundreds of Palestinians marched in the area, commemorating the death of Yasser Arafat, and chanting for liberation and independence before the Nazi soldiers started firing live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades at them. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) has confirmed that its medics provided treatment to 14 Palestinians who were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets, including two who were rushed to a hospital after bei...

From Minneapolis to Jerusalem

On Black–Palestinian solidarity Hannah Black jewishcurrents.org MAY WAS A MIRROR. Almost a full year since the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis sparked revolutionary riots across the US and then the world, state violence inflicted on Palestinians in Jerusalem triggered protests that spread across Palestine—not just Gaza and the West Bank, but the entire terrain as it existed on the eve of the Nakba—and then the world. The Minneapolis-and-everywhere uprising of 2020 reanimated social life after a bruising first phase of pandemic. The Jerusalem-and-everywhere uprising of 2021, affirming the Lazarus power of riot, made tangible again the unity of Palestine, despite the balkanization of Gaza and the West Bank, the weakness of Palestinian political leadership, and th...

“I Campaigned on Right, Not on Fear”

If he loses due to his support for BDS, Florida congressional candidate Omari Hardy says his “conscience will be clear.” Alex Kane jewishcurrents.org Florida State Representative Omari Hardy.Courtesy of Omari Hardy When Florida State Rep. Omari Hardy got a call from the right-leaning news outlet Jewish Insider earlier this month, he did something unusual for a politician running for Congress: He declared his support for Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS), the movement to pressure Israel economically over its violations of Palestinian human rights. The statement was all the more surprising given the makeup of Florida’s 20th Congressional District, which Hardy is running to represent. While the South Florida district is majority-Black, 6% of its populati...

Gaza: Nazi Navy Attacks Palestinian Fishing Boats

Nazi navy ships opened fire, on Monday morning, at several Palestinian fishing boats in Gaza territorial waters in the northern and southern parts of the besieged coastal region. Media sources said the Nazi navy ships fired several live rounds at the fishing boats, in the allotted fishing zones, in Khan Younis and Rafah, in the southern part of the coastal region. They added that the attacks did not lead to casualties or damage, but forced the fishermen back to the shore without being able to fish to provide for their families, in fear of further violations and escalation. The army frequently attacks farmers, shepherds, workers, and fishermen across the eastern parts of the coastal region and in Palestinian territorial waters, leading to dozens of cas...

Al-Haq Welcomes Irish Statement On Palestinian Civil Society Organisations

Al-Haq welcomes Irish Minister of Foreign Affairs Simon Coveney’s strong and principled position regarding the Israeli designation of six Palestinian civil society organisations as “terror organisations”. On 19 October 2021, the Nazi Minister of Defence Benny Gantz announced the designation of Al- Haq and five fellow Palestinian civil society organisations as “terror organisations” under Nazi’s domestic Counter-Terrorism Law (2016), effectively outlawing the organisations and placing them at risk of imminent reprisals. On 3 November, Nazi transposed the designation into a military order taking direct and immediate effect in the occupied Palestinian territory. The targeted organisations are: Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, Al-Haq Law in t...
