Surely questioning the rationale behind criminal American foreign policy is highly praise-worthy: No U.S. intelligence sources or practices were compromised by the posting of  secret Afghan war logs by the WikiLeaks website, the Pentagon has concluded, but the military thinks the leaks c...

NOVANEWS Dear Friends, 6 items below, 2 of which are videos that I hope that you will watch.  One of these is about the Breaking the Silence organization and the flack that they receive.  The other shows the hard sell that kids on the Birthright trips are exposed to. Apart from that, the first item tells us that every other day the IOF kills a Palestinian civilian with impunity.  Items 2 and 3 are the videos, neither more than about 10 minutes.  Item 4 is an itinerary for Partners for Peace, in which our own Ruth Hiller (one of the founding members of New Profile) is participating in.  Item 5 informs us that Israeli officials justify the building in East Jerusalem, which of course tells us that they are more interested in expansion than peace—nothing new in that stance!  An item that I sen...

NOVANEWS Dear All, Before I run through the 5 items below, I have to tell  you about an incident  yesterday.  Actually, the day as a whole was lovely.  Spouse, I, and two acquaintances from abroad went to spend the day in the West Bank, mostly in the village of Qira.  That’s right.  Lina’s village (for those of you who know who Lina is; for those of you who don’t, she’s a Palestinian child who today is 8 years old, but was only 3 years old when she had a kidney transplant.  But that’s another story).  In short, Lina’s family as many Palestinian villagers now were busy yesterday harvesting olives.  We joined them and also 3 German girls who had come for that purpose.  For anyone who has not experienced this, it’s difficult in just a few words to explain.  The work is not easy, but there is ...

IS FALLUJAH HIDDEN HIROSHIMAS?

NOVANEWS 38 HIROSHIMAS HIDDEN: How’d The Army Do That? October 15, 2010 by Bob Nichols   Why not a matchbox sized nuke? Easy to use, not detectable. (San Francisco) – Dr. Chris Busby, a world famous UK based physicist, was at the UN last week with the results of his health survey comparing the health of the city of Fallujah, Iraq with 38 Hiroshimas. The results were truly astonishing, even to the jaded eyes of UN representatives, old retired war fighters and politically connected bureaucrats. No armed force had accomplished this level of death and disease in a civilian population before. What Weapons Do Many Hiroshimas? There it was in black and white, on paper, from an internationally respected physicist – the utterly unbelievable, but certified results: Fallujah’s leukemia rate was 38 t...
