A Modest Proposal for the Eradication of Anti-semitism

NOVANEWS   A Modest Proposal for the Eradication of Anti-Semitism – SATIRE l was disappointed to read that the Simon Wiesenthal Center for Human Rights urged the leaders of the 2015 Frankfurt Book Fair “to blacklist publishers inciting hatred and violence against Israel.” A Few Axioms Must Be Stated First. • Criticizing Israel – the Jewish State – is clearly a manifestation of anti-semitism and, to use the handy newer term, an act of “hate mongering.” Hate! • Hate is an ugly primal instinct in all non-Jews, and it is directed at Jews whom they dimly perceive as superior to them, begrudging them their elevated status. Hate is unknown to Jews whose divine mission is to “repair the world,” and bring “light unto nations.” Therefore when we say “Hate” we say “anti-semitism.” • Having su...

The forgotten massacre of German citizens in Gaza

NOVANEWS Emran Feroz  German passports belonging to Ibrahim Kilani and four of his five children who were killed along with their mother during Israel’s assault on Gaza last year. Anne Paq Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel promised to “stand by the side of Israel” as it attacked Gaza during the summer of 2014. Her solidarity with the aggressor included remaining silent as a family of her fellow citizens were massacred. Ibrahim Kilani had lived in Germany for 20 years before moving back to Gaza. He, his wife, Taghreed, and their five children were killed when Israel shelled an apartment where they had sought refuge in Gaza City. Ramsis Kilani is a son of Ibrahim from his previous marriage, living in the German city of Siegen. Unable to attend Ibrahim’s funeral because of the siege on Gaza...

Have Germans finally acknowledged the Namibian genocide?

NOVANEWS By: Kwame Opoku Recent statements from politicians and government officials give the impression that Germany is preparing to abandon the long-standing practice of denying responsibility for the genocide of 1904-1908 and is now prepared to characterize those wars of extermination as genocide. But has the German government adopted fully a new position? [Surviving Herero returning from Omaheke Desert where they had been driven by German troops after the Battle at Waterberg; two women in front were unable to stand.] For a long time, successive German governments have sought to avoid taking responsibility for the genocide of the Herero and Nama of South-West Africa, now Namibia, in 1904-1908. We have in previous articles examined the various untenable arguments that were advanced by ...

World War II and the Holocaust: An Unspeakable Truth, I$raHell Vested Interest in Fueling German Guilt

NOVANEWS By Polina Garaev i24 News Normalization is a word commonly used in the context of current Israeli-German relations. Its meaning: not quite forgiving, nor forgetting, but moving on. Yet while its users support their claim by pointing at the hordes of Israelis moving to Berlin and the young Germans discovering Tel Aviv’s night life, the underlining truth is different. The so-called normalization would never spread from the streets and beach bars to the diplomatic level, by Israel’s own design. The spokeswoman of the Israeli embassy in Berlin met a few months ago with a group of Israeli reporters. What was said in the room only they know, but according to Haaretz, she openly admitted that it’s in Israel’s interest to maintain German guilt about the Holocaust. Seeking full nor...

The Brutality of European Migration Policy

NOVANEWS Posted by: Sammi Ibrahem,Sr Not Everyone Is Allowed to Have a ‘Good Life in Germany’ By Rebecca Burkert Global Research Image: Angela Merkel consoles 14-year old Reem Sahwil after bringing her to tears when explaining Germany’s need to deport asylum seekers. (Photo: Gut Leben/Newsweek Europe) Since a video went viral yesterday showing the German Chancellor Angela Merkel getting questioned from school kids as part of the government’s programme “Gut Leben in Deutschland” (Good Life in Germany), the brutality and hardship of European migration policy became a little more visible by what one of these kids had so say. The PR-disaster was caused by Reem, a Palestinian girl who fled a refugee camp in Lebanon with her family four years ago and now faces deportation. She told Merkel ...

Auschwitz Bookkeeper Gets 4 Years in Prison — for 300,000 Deaths

NOVANEWS Oskar Groening 94-year-old German man who worked as a bookkeeper at the Auschwitz death camp was convicted on Wednesday of being an accessory to the murder of 300,000 people and sentenced to four years in prison, in what could be one of the last big Holocaust trials. Oskar Groening did not kill anyone himself while working at the camp in Nazi-occupied Poland, but prosecutors argued that by sorting the bank notes from trainloads of arriving Jews he helped support the regime responsible for mass murder. White-haired Groening, who has been on trial since April, has admitted moral guilt but said it was up to the court to decide whether he was legally guilty. He said earlier this month he could only ask God to forgive him as he was not entitled to ask this of victims of the Holocaust....
