GERMANY – Berlin University Suspends Pro-BDS Professor

NOVANEWS The Free University in Berlin has cancelled academic assignments for a pro-BDS professor who allegedly engaged in ''anti-Semitic'' activities. In a tweet from the Free University sent to The Jerusalem Post on Tuesday, the university stated: “The professor will not receive teaching assignments at the Otto Suhr Institute until the accusations are clarified. The Otto Suhr Institute (OSI) at the FU said it takes the accusations very seriously. The FU’s Twitter handle has 6,776 followers. The OSI, where the anti-Zionist academic Roldán Mendívil teaches at the FU, is a well-respected political science department. Roldán Mendívil wrote on her blog titled “cosas que no se rompen” that it “only makes sense that  different groups meet and BDS-affiliated or BDS activists fight against rep...

Germans protest NATO troop deployment

NOVANEWS Press TV  Scores of people have staged a protest in a northern German port city against the deployment and transport of NATO troops and weapons through the city. The protest was held in the port city of Bremerhaven on Saturday. US military hardware, including 87 tanks and 144 Bradley fighting vehicles, were docked in the port city a day earlier for eventual transfer to NATO member countries in Eastern Europe to enhance what was described as “deterrence against possible Russian aggression.” The protesters marched through the city, holding signs and banners that read, “No NATO deployments! End the militaristic march against Russia!” and “Out of NATO.” “I am here to explain peace to Russians, because I am afraid of new wars… and this big maneuver is one that quite scares me, and...

German government says it has no proof Russia trying to hack upcoming elections

NOVANEWS RT German government has officially admitted that it has no solid evidence that Russia is planning to interfere into the Germany’s upcoming federal parliamentary elections in 2017 as it answered a request from an MP amid ongoing anti-Russian hysteria. All accusations against Russia concerning its potential meddling with the German parliamentary elections, which are due to be held in September 2017, are just “assumptions” based on the claims of the US politicians that Russian hackers interfered into the US elections via DNC email hacks. “The federal government particularly refers to the fact that it was revealed in July 2016 that a successful hacking attack, which resulted in a subsequent data theft, was carried out on the servers of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), th...

Why the West is Helping ISIS Spread Hysteria Post-Berlin Attack

NOVANEWS By Tony Cartalucci  The Washington Post – among others – hit the ground running in the wake of an apparent terrorist attack in Germany’s capital of Berlin before evidence was forthcoming and even before German police arrested a suspect. A truck plowed into a crowded Christmas market, killing 12 and injuring many more in what resembled an attack in Nice, France where a truck likewise plowed into a crowd killing 86 and injuring hundreds more. Spreading ISIS Propaganda The Washington Post’s article and others like it followed the self-proclaimed “Islamic State” (ISIS) allegedly taking credit for the incident. Undeterred by a lack of evidence, the Washington Post and other media outlets – eager to capitalize on the attack to further Western narratives – concluded that the attack w...

ISIS and al-Nusra Bombs and Shells—Made in US and Germany

NOVANEWS By Jonas E. Alexis  One can say with certainty that the monster which goes by the name of ISIS is a creation of the United States, Germany, and all the countries that have supported the Neoconservative ideology for decades. “Thank you, Mr. Putin, for saving us from ISIS.” …by Jonas E. Alexis   Well, well, well. The criminal minds who supported ISIS and al-Nusra in Syria have been caught red-handed again. Avner Cohen—a Professor at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, the Director of the Education Program and Senior Fellow at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, and a retired Israeli official—once declared that “Hamas, to my great regret, is Israel’s creation.”[1] One can say with certainty that the monster which goes by the name of ISIS ...

Berlin – Another False Flag?

NOVANEWS By Peter Koenig 12 dead, about 40 injured, is the result of the latest terror attack in Berlin, when on 19 December, a truck plouged into a Christmas market at Berlin’s Bretscheideplatz, near the lush Kurfuerstendamm. Is it not a ‘déjà-vu’ of not even half a year ago, when in Nice, France, on 14th July a truck mowed down hordes of people celebrating Bastille Day? In Berlin, the first ‘culprit’ was a Pakistani who apparently ‘escaped’. When later he turned up and explained with proof his innocence, they had to let him go. In the cabin of the truck they also found a dead man of Polish origin. He couldn’t be accused, since he was dead. Then the chase was stalled, until miraculously, about a day later, they found in the truck identity papers of a Mr. Anis Amri (24) of Tunisian c...

Right-Wing, Anti-Immigrant Offensive Escalates in Aftermath of Berlin Terror Attack

NOVANEWS By Peter Schwarz World Socialist Web Site Although the background to Monday’s attack on a Berlin Christmas market remains unclear, politicians and the media are using it to mount a right-wing offensive in Germany and throughout Europe. The attack claimed 12 lives and left 48 people injured. On Tuesday, the police released a 23-year-old refugee from Pakistan because of lack of evidence that he had driven the truck that ploughed into a crowd at the Breitscheidplatz in central Berlin. Now the search is focused on a young Tunisian, Anis Amri, who has been living in Germany since July 2015 and has been under surveillance by the security authorities because he is alleged to be in contact with a German network of the Islamic State. According to press reports, the investigat...

Berlin Terror Attack: The Only Option for Israel?

NOVANEWS By Sajjad Shaukat At least 12 people were killed and about 50 injured when a truck ploughed into a Christmas market at Breitscheidplatz in the German city of Berlin on December 19, this year (Monday evening). The Islamic State group (Also known as Daesh, ISIS, ISIL) claimed responsibility for the attack via its Amaq news agency. Berlin police said on the next day, that investigators assume the driver of the truck did so intentionally in a suspected terrorist attack. A man found in the truck was ruled out by police as the driver at the time of the attack. He died as a result of the crash and was later identified as a Polish citizen. Police also stated that the nationality of the suspected driver, who fled the crash scene and was later arrested, was unclear. He was also ...

The Berlin Truck Massacre: Here’s What You HAVEN’T Been Told

NOVANEWS So I’ve been digging around a bit, and I’m going to come at this from a different angle. Not going to bother pouring over footage or images and talking about the credibility of the scenes, etc, as there are others who’ll probably be doing that already. I choose to assume/believe the attack really did happen as we’re told it did and that innocent people were hurt or killed. Instead, as with the Nice attack earlier in the year, the best angle might be found if we direct our attention to a seemingly unrelated bit of information. I noted an interesting fact about yesterday, which was largely unreported in most media; but I found it reported at Israel National News. The headline was ‘Mossad chief gives secret intelligence briefing to Trump staff: Mossad chief makes clandestine ...

Couldn’t prove Iraq war crimes: German court rejects US Army deserter’s asylum application

NOVANEWS RT A Munich court has rejected a US soldier’s plea for asylum six years after his application was filed. The soldier deserted his post in southern Germany after being ordered to return to Iraq, where he feared he would be forced to take part in war crimes. Andre Shepherd, 39, deserted his post at Katterbach Kaserne military base in southern Germany in 2007 after being told he would have to return to Iraq for a second tour. He claims he felt that he would be forced to take part in what he called “war crimes” if he did. However, that excuse failed to hold up in court and the case was dismissed on Thursday, with presiding Judge Josef Ruber ruling that Shepherd had failed to exercise all available options to leave the military before deserting, making no attempt to join another mil...
