Russia Denies US Accusations Concerning Aircraft to Libya

By Steven Sahiounie US Army Gen. Stephen Townsend, commander, US Africa Command, released a statement on May 26 accusing Russia of sending Russian military aircraft to Libya to support the Libyan National Army (LNA).  The accusations are detailed and include photos and images, which are supposed to convince the reader that Russia sent planes to Syria, where they were repainted to disguise their source, and then flown on to Libya. However, the photos don’t provide evidence of the accusations. The US statement uses the word “assesses” five times, and also uses the phrase “are likely to”.  Those are statements of opinion, and not based on facts or evidence, which could have been presented, had they existed. US indicts N. Koreans, Chinese over $2.5 bn network to dodge sanctions

The US Justice Department indicted 28 North Koreans and five Chinese on Thursday for operating a money laundering ring that moved billions of dollars through global banks to avoid nuclear sanctions on Pyongyang. The network processed more than $2.5 billion through over 250 front companies across Thailand, Libya, Austria, Russia, China and Kuwait to evade sanctions, buy goods needed by North Korea and to enrich the suspects, according to an indictment filed in federal district court in Washington. Most of those indicted were associated with a network of “covert” branches of North Korea’s blacklisted Foreign Trade Bank, and included two people who had served as presidents of the bank, Ko Chol Man and Kim Song Ui, and two vice presidents. They were accused of using front companies t...

Where on earth is Kayleigh McEnany?

Dear editor, I do not know if it is only me or other people have noticed that too. Ever since White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany took her job, she has done an outstanding job defending the President by blasting anyone who criticized, challenged, or mocked him. Here is a sample of her targets: * Chris Cuomo of CNN for mocking Trump* Elizabeth Warren for using an "inflated infection and death toll numbers" during the Senate hearing* She slammed Jimmy Kimmel for poking fun of Trump's press coverage. But when Jason Greenblatt, who is the head of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), denounced President Donald Trump and demanded an apology because Trump praised Henry Ford during last Friday's visit to a Ford plant in Michigan, Kayleigh McEnany was nowhere to be found. I am no ...

Trump’s Anti-Beijing Reelection Strategy. Anti-China Agenda Risks Direct Confrontation?

By Stephen Lendman Trump’s anti-Beijing reelection strategy turned most Americans into China haters by the power of propaganda, along with greatly damaging the bilateral relationship. His unacceptable China bashing risks rupturing relations if his regime continues its present path — policies hostile to world peace, stability, and cooperative relations with other countries, greatly influenced by hardliners surrounding him. Worst still, his anti-China agenda risks direct confrontation by accident or design, a clash between two nuclear powers if he pushes things too far. His latest blow to bilateral relations came Friday afternoon, saying: “I am directing my (regime) begin the process of eliminating policy exemptions that give Hong Kong different and special treatment,” add...

Yemen: Saudi-UAE Zionist Coalition Carries out Airstrikes on Sanaa

By: Sammi Ibrahem,Sr The Saudi Zio-Wahhabi coalition fighting in Yemen carried out Monday around 19 air raids on the capital Sanaa, according to Al Masirah TV. The Houthi-run Tv station reported that a man was killed and two others injured in the first such attacks on the city in months.  A number of sensitive sites including the presidential palace compound, a school and an airbase close to Sanaa airport were hit, and loud explosions were heard across the city, residents said. The Houthi attack coincided with the fifth anniversary of Saudi Zio-Wahhabi war in Yemen. This new wave of attacks come amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and a general call from the United Nations to a ceasefire across all global conflicts.  On Sunday, U.N. Yemen Envoy Martin Griffiths reit...

Yemen: Piracy by Saudi Zio-Wahhabi regime and its allies

By: Sammi Ibrahe,Sr The U.S. and its allies confiscated 17 ships loaded with food and fuel heading for Yemen. The U.S. and Saudi Zio-Wahhabi regime confiscated 17 ships loaded with food and fuel heading for Yemen, even though the vessels had the necessary permits to arrive in that country. Although 14 ships carrying oil and three vessels carrying food had permits issued by the United Nations to enter Yemen, the Saudi Zio-Wahhabi coalition's marine forces prevented them from doing so. "We are facing a new case of piracy by Saudi Arabia and its allies," Yemeni television station Al Masirah reported from the Al-Hudayda port. The oil tankers were carrying 320,000 tons of fuel to this war-torn Middle Eastern country, which reported its first COVID-19 case on Friday. alne...

Yemen: COVID-19 Will Spread Easily

By: Sammi Ibrahem,Sr This Southwest Asian country is facing the COVID-19 pandemic and the strike of Saudi Arabia. The World Health Organization (WHO) Thursday warned that the COVID-19 pandemic could spread in Yemen and infect most of its citizens because of their low levels of immunity. "The precarious situation in Yemen reduces its ability to overcome epidemics such as the new coronavirus," the WHO explained. In this Southwest Asian territory, which is the Arab world's poorest country, people live in survival conditions, mainly because of the war that has been shaking the nation since 2015. Yemen suffers two tragedies: the outbreak of COVID-19 and the strike of Saudi Zio-Wahhabi and its allies. The economy and the health system are in ruins, local media reported.. ...

Yemen With Health System in Shambles

By: Sammi Ibrahem,Sr The upswing in suspected COVID-19 cases in Yemen is sounding alarms throughout the global health community. Hundreds of people in Aden, southern Yemen’s main city, have died in the past week from symptoms of what appears to be the COVID-19, local health officials said in interviews with The Associated Press. The officials fear the situation is only going to get worse: Yemen has little capacity to test those suspected of having the virus, and a 5-year-long civil war has left the health system in shambles. One gravedigger in Aden told AP he’d never seen such a constant flow of dead, even in a city that has seen multiple bouts of bloody street battles during the civil war. Officially, the number of COVID-19 cases in Yemen is low, 106 in the southern region, ...

Stop the $2 Billion Arms Sale to the Philippines

Philippine strongman Rodrigo Duterte is using the pandemic to crush his opposition—and the U.S. is poised to arm him to the teeth. by: Amee Chew A street under quarantine in Iriga City, Philippines (Photo: Shutterstock) On April 30, the U.S. State Department announced two pending arms sales to the Philippines totaling nearly $2 billion. Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Bell Helicopter, and General Electric are the main weapons manufacturers contracted to profit from the deal. Following this announcement, a 30-day window for Congress to review and voice opposition to the sale commenced. It is imperative that we stop this avalanche of military aid for Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte’s regime. Duterte is infamous for launching a “War on Drugs” that, since 2...
