NOVANEWS Posted by: Sammi Ibrahem, Sr Book Review; North Korea: Another Country, By Bruce Cumings, The New Press, 2004 By Al Olson Global Research This Review was published nine years ago on GR.  Bruce Cumings, a history professor at the University of Chicago and a former Peace Corps volunteer in South Korea, has given us a badly needed antidote to the lies and disinformation about the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea (North Korea) being spread by the media and the Bush administration. The author has observed “the deafening absence of any contrary argument” and cuts through this smokescreen of ignorance in his well-researched historical study of North Korea. Cumings directs his book to “the reader who wishes to learn about our eternal Korean enemy.” He believes that North Ko...

Zionist Puppet Obama: US Might Put N. Korea on Terror List

NOVANEWS     Zionist puppet Barack Obama said the United States is reviewing whether to put North Korea back onto its lists of state sponsors of terrorism following a cyber attack on Sony Pictures, which U.S. officials blame on the communist nation. Speaking on CNN's State of the Nation, Obama said he did not consider the hack an act of war, but a 'very costly, very expensive' example of cyber vandalism. North Korea denies it was responsible for hacking Sony Pictures' computer network and posting embarrassing e-mails and other private data. The hackers call themselves the Guardians of Peace and warned there would be a 'bitter fate' for anyone attending a public showing of the movie The Interview, a film in which the CIA hires two journalists to kill North Korean leader Kim...

Sony Pictures cancelled the Dec. 25 release of "The Interview" on Wednesday after major theaters chains backed out, following threats from alleged North Korean hackers.
