Mainstream Media keeps al-Qaeda Myth Alive.

NOVANEWS “Who’s going to object to referring to the Sunni insurgency in post-war Iraq as yet another attack by al-Qaeda?” Dr. Ashraf Ezzat    Lost in a proxy war. While surfing the morning news, Most people would indifferently glance at this headline “Al-Qaida in Iraq says it was behind Baghdad blasts” and fail to grasp the real story behind it. But then, how could they not when the story is presented to them with such a deceiving title to begin with. Now that the boys are out of the Iraqi swamp, a smart move in Obama’s electoral campaign, why should any American care what happens in that remote area on planet earth called Iraq- a place most Americans failed to locate on the map in a National geographic survey in 2006. The American military and the so called coalition forces raided Ir...

IsraHelli Group Claims Responsibility for Iraqi Bombings – Sort Of

NOVANEWS SITE Intelligence, Reputed Mossad Operation Claims to Credit Al Qaeda for Iraq Bombings    by  Gordon Duff,  Senior Editor Mossad Bombings in Iraq Wrongly Credited to Al Qaeda The recent round of bombings in Iraq, according to an Israeli source credited with endless false reports, phony bin Laden tapes and videos and numerous other obfuscations yesterday claimed Al Qaeda was responsible for the recent bombings in Iraq. The organization run by the daughter of a convicted Israeli spy was the only source, no intelligence organization in the world found the website SITE claimed it found.  This is always the case.  Site Intelligence always finds the story Israel or American neocons need, exactly when they need it, always “too good to be true” and, thusly, not true at all. This is...

Carnage in Baghdad: New Fear, New Game

NOVANEWS By Ismail Salami A string of 16 bomb explosions ripped through the Iraqi capital on Thursday, leaving 72 people dead and 217 others fatally wounded.   There is a new fear emerging in Iraq that the country will plunge even more into turmoil and political disequilibrium as the US troops cased in their colors and left behind a country which they helped lay bare to waste and dereliction. This feeling of angst deepened when a string of 16 bomb explosions ripped through the Iraqi capital on Thursday, the worst in four months, leaving 72 people dead and 217 others fatally wounded. Roughly coinciding with the homecoming of the US troops, the incident was opportunistically ascribed by Western observers to the security vacuum created as a result of the withdrawal of the US forces. As ...

NOVANEWS  Vice-President Tareq al-Hashimi Iraqi government issued on Monday an arrest warrant for Vice-President Tareq al-Hashimi for suspected ties to assassinations and bombings. Spokesman for interior ministry, Adil Daham, said the warrant for Hashimi was on “terrorism charges” related to alleged links to assassinations of government officials. "An arrest warrant was issued for Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi accordingto Article 4 of the terrorism law and is signed by five judges... this warrant should be executed," Daham told a news conference, waving a copy of the document in front of reporters. The state-run television aired what it said it were confessions by "terrorists" linked to Hashimi. The men said, during the tape broadcast, they had been paid by the VP’s office ...

IRAQ WAR ENDS WITH A $4 TRILLION IOU TO US TAXPAYERS

NOVANEWS http://theuglytruth.wordpress.com MarketWatch.com WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) — The nine-year-old Iraq war came to an official end on Thursday, but paying for it will continue for decades until U.S. taxpayers have shelled out an estimated $4 trillion. Over a 50-year period, that comes to $80 billion annually. Ceremony marks end of Iraq war The flag is lowered Thursday in Baghdad at a ceremony to mark the closure of U.S. military headquarters and the end of the war in Iraq. Although that only represents about 1% of nation’s gross domestic product, it’s more than half of the national budget deficit. It’s also roughly equal to what the U.S. spends on the Department of Justice, Homeland Security and the Environmental Protection Agency combined each year. Near the start of the war, th...

SECRET ACCOUNTS OF IRAQ MASSACRE FOUND IN JUNK YARD

NOVANEWS http://theuglytruth.wordpress.com New York Times                            Baghdad – One by one, the Marines sat down, swore to tell the truth and began to give secret interviews discussing one of the most horrific episodes of America’s time in Iraq: the 2005 massacre by Marines of Iraqi civilians in the town of Haditha. “I mean, whether it’s a result of our action or other action, you know, discovering 20 bodies, throats slit, 20 bodies, you know, beheaded, 20 bodies here, 20 bodies there,” Col. Thomas Cariker, a commander in Anbar Province at the time, told investigators as he described the chaos of Iraq. At times, he said, deaths were caused by “grenade attacks on a checkpoint and, you know, collateral with civilians.” The 400 pages of interrogations, once closely guarded ...

BITTER MEMORIES HAUNT IRAQ’S FALLUJA AS U.S. DEPARTS

NOVANEWS Reuters Ali al-Falluji’s building lies with its ceiling collapsed, debris spilled over the Falluja city roadside just as the Iraqi businessman left it seven years ago when American bombs punctured its roof. The last U.S. soldiers are finally leaving Iraq. But Falluji says he will never rebuild his business: It must stay that way, he says, as testimony to America’s violence. Falluja, once the heart of Iraq’s al-Qaeda insurgency and witness to some of the war’s bloodiest fighting, has become more than any other Iraqi city a symbol for the brutality of the war after the 2003 invasion. Now Falluja is recalling its past, bitter memories resurfacing of lost relatives and of the overwhelming violence visited on the city on the banks of the Euphrates river. “This scene must remain like ...

8 Years Gone, Saddam Hussein Don’t Surf

NOVANEWS Check out Saddam Don’t Surf – a song dedicated to Saddam Hussein   And the New Phony Book Book “We Got Him”   by Johnny Punish   Yesterday marked the 8th year anniversary of the capture of Saddam Hussein. To mark the occassion, Lt. Col Steve Russell who allegedly led the team to capture Saddam wrote a book called “We Got Him“ When U.S. forces allegedly exterminated Osama bin Laden in Pakistan on May 1, 2011 (wink wink), the world cheered not only the death of the 9/11 terrorist mastermind but the unmatched might, skill, and perseverance of America’s military elite. It was a brilliant example of history repeating itself; less than a decade earlier, the capture of Saddam Hussein, a triumph of military strategy in and of itself, opened the door for the most recent an...

AFTER 9 YEARS, 4,500 DEAD, U.S. TROOPS PREPARE FOR FINAL IRAQ EXIT

NOVANEWS American Defense Secretary Panetta, top officials set to participate in handoff ceremony, during which the flag of U.S. Forces-Iraq will officially be retired. Associated Press After nearly nine years, 4,500 American dead, 32,000 wounded and more than $800 billion, U.S. officials prepared today to formally shut down the war in Iraq — a conflict that U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said was worth the price in blood and money, as it set Iraq on a path to democracy. Panetta stepped off his military plane Thursday in Baghdad as the leader of America’s war in Iraq, but will leave as one of many top U.S. and global officials who hope to work with the struggling nation as it tries to find its new place in the Middle East and the broader world. He and several other U.S. diplomatic, ...
