Help fund Liberation News fact-finding trip to Venezuela, led by Gloria La Riva

NOVANEWS By Party for Socialism and Liberation The corporate mass media is acting as nothing less than the propaganda arm of the U.S. state in its super-aggressive campaign to overthrow the government of Venezuela. The people of the United States are being relentlessly fed a litany of lies and distortions, meant to prepare the population here for a new war. This is the same kind of demonization that we have seen in the buildup to the wars against Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan and Yugoslavia in recent years, and Central America, Vietnam, Korea in early times. The urgent task of the moment is to counter this information war. We must challenge the dominant narrative from the White House, State Department and Pentagon before a new war is launched against our brothers and sisters in Venezuela. W...

NOVANEWS By Arnold August Global Research The issue for us all is: No to military intervention in Venezuela and full support for the right of Venezuela to defend itself. “Maduro declared in his February 4 Caracas speech: ‘Not one Yaqui soldier will enter Venezuela.’” Is Trump contributing to a unique experience in protagonist democracy in Venezuela? If so, his administration and the Democratic Party supporting the U.S. elite’s Venezuela policy are in for a big surprise. On February 25, 2014 – five years ago! – BAR published my article titled “Obama’s Arrogant Interference in Venezuela and Resistance by a Participatory Democracy.” Over the five years of tampering, obstruction and suffocating sanctions, the Obama and Trump administrations have not been able to conquer Venezuela. ...

An Invasion of Venezuela Isn’t A “Far-Fetched Scenario”

NOVANEWS By Andrew Korybko Global Research While Guaido and his self-declared “government”(-in-waiting) are downplaying the prospects of a military invasion to topple Maduro, the reality is that such a scenario really isn’t all that far-fetched and could even succeed in the event that only a limited one was commenced in the ultra-strategic state of Zulia. The Last Chance For Peace Both supporters and detractors of the Venezuelan government seem to be of the mind that the country’s crisis is rapidly approaching a climax, with the specter of a military invasion looming large on the horizon. Each camp, and especially Guadio’s self-declared “government”(-in-waiting), has downplayed this possibility, but the reality is that such a scenario really isn’t all that far-fetched and could ev...

The following is based upon a talk given by in New York City on Jan. 24 at a demonstration initiated by that group supporting the Venezuelan government from a U.S. backed coup.    Over the past few days, a corrupt, illegitimate regime lacking the support of vast swaths of the population it claims to represent, backed another round of imperialist hostilities against the Bolivarian republic of Venezuela. Venezuelan army disavows self-proclaimed leader, will defend national sovereignty

NOVANEWS Posted by: Sammi Ibrahem,Sr The Venezuelan military will not accept a president imposed by “dark interests,” Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino said after Washington and a number of its allies recognized a lawmaker as the new leader in Caracas. The army will continue to defend the constitution and national sovereignty, Padrino said on Wednesday afternoon, hours after opposition lawmaker C.I.A puppet Juan Guaido was proclaimed interim president by the National Assembly, in a direct challenge to President Nicolas Maduro. The US quickly recognized Guaido as Venezuela’s legitimate leader, with the Organization of American States (OAS) following Washington’s lead. Canada and France have also recognized puppet Guaido, while Mexico has declined to do so “for now.” Bolivia declared “soli...
