SDF troops attempt push into another Daesh stronghold near Iraqi border

The U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) launched a big assault in the southeastern countryside of the Deir Ezzor province, today, targeting the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) stronghold of Al-Sousah near the Iraqi border.
Backed by heavy artillery from their U.S. Coalition partners, the Syrian Democratic Forces began their assault on Monday by storming the Islamic State’s positions at the outskirtsof Bo Khater and Al-Sousah.
According to local reports from the Deir Ezzor province, the Syrian Democratic Forces are attempting to enter these two Islamic State-held towns, while their allied troops fight off a terrorist counter-offensive at nearby Hajin.
