A Second Attempt at the Common Consolidated Corporate Tax Base
With an agreement in principle, but with a lot of worries and hesitations ended the second discussion in the Council of EU finance ministers on the revived European Commission proposal to introduce a Common Consolidated Corporate Tax Base (CCCTB). Last October, the Commission tried to revive its 2011 proposal by splitting it into two phases - first bargaining on the common corporate tax base, and then adding consolidation - hoping it could pass.
