A survey that was published a few days ago suggests that British Jews are nothing but  ‘peace lovers’. The Guardian was also quick to report that  77% of “British Jews favour a 'two-state solution' in Israel”. In practice, this actually means that at least 77% of British Jews believe that millions of dispossessed Palestinians should continue to dwell in refugee camps and never be allowed to their  homes, cities, and villages. NOVANEWS BY: Sammi Ibrahem Labour have held Birmingham Hall Green in a tight and often vicious contest against the Respect Mafia.  Roger Godsiff held on for Labour despite an 11.7 % swing to Salma Yaqoom of Respect, who came second. Ms Yaqoom, called on Mr Godsiff to “be fair” in a YouTube video made for the Campaign after he put out leaflets attacking her and the Liberal Democrats.

With Mr Galloway fighting a losing battle in Poplar, Respect support plummeted by 20 % in Bethnal Green, where their candidate Abjol Miah lost to Labour's Rushanara Ali with a 14.1 % swing.
