Apropos of the Statement of Mr. Morrison [the British Foreign Secretary ot the then Labor governement]
Mr. Morrison has put forward two sets of questions: questions concerning internal politics and those dealing with external politics.
Internal Politics
Mr. Morrison affirms that in the Soviet Union there is no freedom of speech, press or personal freedom.
Mr. Morrison is grievously mistaken. In no other country exists such kind of freedom of speech, press or personal freedom, organisations for workers, peasants and the intelligentsia as in the Soviet Union. Nowhere are there as many clubs for workers and peasants, as many newspapers specifically for them as in the Soviet Union.
