NOVANEWS Hi All,Please read this interview.  I met Janan at the courthouse in Haifa the day that her husband was sentenced.   I was there to attend the Rachel Corrie trial, and by chance we met the Makhoul family during an intermission in the Corrie proceedings.  They were quite sure that he would be sentenced to prison.  Anyone accused of security infringement (true or false) will be punished.At one point in the interview Janan states "There needs to be a study about what is going on with political prisoners in Israeli prisons." NOVANEWS Dear All, It is not a good day for freedom of speech in Israel. As you may have heard, yesterday the director of the Israeli Government Press Office (IGPO) announced that foreign journalists on the Gaza-bound flotilla will be viewed as violating Israeli law. Correspondents aboard the flotilla risk prohibition of entry to Israel for up to ten years and confiscation of their equipment. As ACRI Attorney Oded Feller argued in a letter demanding that the IGPO withdraw their statement, there is no legal basis for such a threat.
