Zio-Nazi High Court of 'Justice' and Khader ‘Adnan

NOVANEWS Dear All,   My heart dropped when I read this a few moments ago.  Am sending this apart from the rest, because it deserves a place of its own. I was checking to see if there was anything that needed adding to my usual message, which is already bursting to overflowing.  And found this. So it goes here.  The Israeli Supreme Court almost always—though not always--backs the government and military (especially the military) in cases where Palestinians are involved.  Its decision to hold off till Thursday is almost a death warrant for Khader Adnan.  And if on Thursday the High Court reaches no decision, his case will wait till Sunday, because who works on Friday and Saturday here?  I admit—I’m out of ideas on what to do more.  All that I can say is that this is so painful, both b...

Washing your hands of Khader Adnan: My response to weasel words of EU’s Catherine Ashton

NOVANEWS by Ali Abunimah Fri, 02/17/2012 The wife, daughters and father of Khader Adnan walk out from the Ziv Hospital, after visiting Adnan, in the city of Safed, 15 February 2012. (ActiveStills) Today my colleague David Cronin wrote about the weasel worded response of the EU High Representative Catherine Ashton, for comment on the case of Khader Adnan. Here is my response, which I sent her by email. European Union High Representative Ms. Catherine Ashton To: catherine.ashton@ec.europa.eu Dear Ms. Ashton, Forty-eight hours after my colleague David Cronin first requested it, your spokespersons found the time to issue a statement on the plight of Khader Adnan, who could die at any moment, shackled to his bed, now in his 62nd day of hunger strike against his arbitrary detenti...

Mr. Adnan was arrested on 17 December 2011 and has been in administrative detention since 8 January 2012; to this day, no charges have been filed against him and he has not been given the opportunity to address any claims in a fair trial. To protest the abuse and bru...

Khader Adnan’s Heroic Struggle for Justice

NVANEWS by Stephen Lendman   Saturday marked his 56th hunger striking day. “My dignity is more precious than food,” he said. He’s willing to die courageously defending it. He’s protesting his lawless detention and treatment by repressive Israeli prison authorities. They’re committing willful, malicious slow-motion murder. He’s uncharged because he’s innocent. Yet Israel illegally detains him under horrific conditions. Without food for eight weeks, his life hangs by a thread. He could die before this article’s published. On February 9, a special Military Court appeal on his behalf was held at Safad’s Zif medical center where he’s held shackled to his bed near death. For the hearing, he was moved to a separate room still shackled except for his hands. Despite his condition and gross in...

Zio-Nazi Regime: A Plea to the World from the Principal of a Palestinian School about to be Demolishe

NOVANEWS In November we reported with joy about the new school structure at Susiya (Susya). (see also an earlier report here). Only a few weeks later, the Occupation regime’s fraudulently named “Civil Administration” handed down demolition orders to the school. In a rare direct expression of an Occupied Palestinian voice in the Israeli printed press, the school’s prinicipal Muhammad A-Nawwajeh published an editorial in Israel’s Haaretz newspaper about the demolition order on his school. Unlike most of Haaretz op-eds, this article was apparently not translated to the newspaper’s English site. We provide the translation below. ——————— What Will You Tell My Students? Muhammad Jaber Hamed A-Nawwajeh Our elementary school at Susiya is small. It has two classrooms, in which a total of 35 pup...

Zio-Nazi, Suppressed Story Verified

NOVANEWS Photo Accurate, Israel Lied Says French News Agency AFP confirms veracity of debated Israeli abuse story Agence France- Presse Editor’s Note:  Israel Caught Lying About Apartheid Abuse: “Following the surfacing of the photos, the Israeli Embassy in Washington had asked all American newspapers “to consider ceasing to publish the photographs of Hazem Bader,” claiming both the caption and the photo of the injured worker were untrue and “perhaps staged.” AFP (Agence France-Presse) agency responded to criticism over a Jan. 25 photo showing an Israeli Army soldier driving a truck over the leg of an injured Palestinian construction worker, saying both the story and photo were valid. A recent press release by the news agency said “after several days of thorough research [...] AFP wishe...
