NAZI'S DESTROYING HOMES IN RAFAH

NOVANEWS destroying homes in Rafah  The story isn't hyped. PCHR added that the government in Gaza should not be destroying private homes while there is such a pronounced dearth of housing in Gaza, with some people still living in tents, 17 months after the end of the massacre, and others crowded in with extended family. What happens when you refuse a governing group the fiscal resources to govern, throw half its senior leadership in prison, and attack them mercilessly? It exacerbates thuggish and chauvinistic tendencies. That explains many things. But not destroying people's homes when they can't rebuild them. That's intolerable.  Technorati Tags: Gaza, Hamas, Israel, Palestine, resistance movementsRelated posts: who will protect the Rachel Corrie? As I write the Rachel Corrie, a 1200-t...

ZIO=NAZI: FREE GAZA GHETTOS

NOVANEWS they drew the right lessons from Warsaw A couple days ago, I posted the photo of Yonatan Shapira and Ewa Jasiewicz’s Hebrew-and-English graffiti [video here] on the wall of the Warsaw Ghetto enjoining the world to “Free All the Ghettos." I didn't comment. It seemed almost silently eloquent anyway. But elsewhere, the same photo elicited some criticism, saying it was in bad taste. Unmerited, I think. Here’s why--but first, a bit of ideological debris-clearing. The first reason usually given for discomfort with discussing the Holocaust or Warsaw in relation to Palestine is that it politicizes or instrumentalizes Jewish tragedy, the specific historical tragedy of a people practicing a religion, to support a partisan, parochial agenda. That accusation is difficult to make justly. Jewi...

THE FACES OF THE SLAUGHTER AT SEA

NOVANEWS July 10, 2010 by Michael Leon   Farrakhan Dogan, 19-year-old American Killed by Israeli Navy. From Gaza Friends, see the faces of the Massacre on the Mediterranean at Free Gaza. - The terrorists on board that ship as well as the other five ships, (where passengers were beaten, tied up, tear gassed and wounded), worked for the Israeli Navy. - By Greta Berlin, - witnessgaza.com - www.freegaza.org As we get ready to challenge Israel’s illegal blockade of Gaza once more, we would ask you to remember the nine men murdered in cold blood by Israeli commandos, who came down from helicopters firing live ammunition. The official autopsy reports will be released in the next couple of weeks, but preliminary reports say the nine men were shot over 31 times, most through the face and the top o...

ZIO=NAZI RAID OF THE FREEDOM FLOTILLA

NOVANEWS U.S. Marine Ken O’Keefe said that two activists were already dead when he helped to disarm the first commandos that boarded the Mavi Marmara. - Update: See also Midnight on the Mavi Marmara. By Richard Lightbown SUMMARY An international flotilla comprising the cruise ship Mavi Marmara, a cargo ship and four smaller craft sailing to Gaza with humanitarian aid was attacked in international waters by a large Israeli naval force on 31 May 2010.   Nine passengers were killed and many injured by live fire.  The legality of the raid is considered according the San Remo Manual and the Fourth Geneva Convention.  The report concludes that the International Committee of the Red Cross declaration of a ‘dire situation’ in the Gaza Strip renders the raid unlawful. A small number of passengers o...

NOVANEWS Life Must Go On- Jazza Festival for Free Gaza Tuesday, June 1, 2010  Following Israel's maritime slaughter of defenceless and heroic humanitarian activists, Sarah Gillespie and myself will be donating our earnings from this week's concerts at Pizza Express Jazz Club (3-5/6), to the Free Gaza organisation.  The victims of the massacre will not be the last to spill their blood for Palestine, but they will never be forgotten. The ‘Jazza Festival’ will take place in London in October. Some major artists are already lined up. In case the Israelis do not understand it yet. Humanism  will prevail!!! IS THER ANY ZIO-NAZI HUMANITARIAN ACTIVITIES IN GAZA ?

NOVANEWS How to Market Gaza as an Israeli Success Story Via Gisha's Gaza Gateway The following guide was inspired by a report by the Government of Israel, summarizing Israel’s humanitarian activities for the Gaza Strip in 2009 and at the start of 2010, which was submitted yesterday to the Ad Hoc Liaison Committee. Take things out of context. When you say that, “41 truckloads of equipment for the maintenance of the electricity networks were transferred”, you do not need to mention that those spare parts were waiting for many months for clearance, and that, at the end of 2009, the Gaza Electricity Distribution Company reported that 240 kinds of spare parts were completely out of stock or had dipped below the required minimum stock. Likewise, “There was a significant increase in the number...

ABC: DOCUMENTARY ABOUT GAZA

 NOVANEWS ABC Radio National documentary about the Gaza Freedom March and Jewish identity Last December I attended the Gaza Freedom March in Cairo to highlight the plight of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. For the last months I’ve worked on a radio documentary feature for ABC Radio National’s 360 program, the country’s finest space for long-form radio work. Alongside co-producer Sharon Davis and sound engineer Timothy Nicastri, we aimed to create an essay that discussed both the event itself and wider issues about Zionism and Judaism. My photographs from Gaza and Cairo are also published. Here’s the blurb for the show: Best-selling author Antony Loewenstein joins the Gaza Freedom March in Cairo to test his ideas about dissent and Jewish identity. Antony was one of 1,400 activists who met ...

ZIO=NAZI BLOCKADE OF GAZA

NOVANEWS "Since June 2007 -- when Zio=Nazi tightened its blockade of Gaza -- the economy has sunk into a deep depression as unemployment has hit as high as 80 percent. Poverty among the 1.5 million residents has reached unprecedented levels with more than 80 percent of the population dependent on food aid provided by UNRWA, the UN agency for Palestine refugees. The dire situation is the result of Nazi's closure, according to numerous international assessments. Although Zio=Nazi regime erratically opens border crossings for the import of food and other basic necessities to Gaza, only a fraction of the people's requirements get in."

VIA GISHA'S GAZA GATEWAY

NOVANEWS Via Gisha's Gaza Gateway: The 720,000 liters make even the miracle workers at the Gaza power plant helpless. Below, my story from Truthout on power outages and blackouts. Which don't much affect me, because my building's owner provides evening generator capacity. And if he didn't, I'd go to a cafe across the street and sit there for four hours with a cup of coffee. The people in Jabaliya don't have these luxuries. At night in Gaza, the narrow alleyways of the refugee camps echo loudly with clatter amidst the darkness. The clatter is the sound of small generators. Families in the camps, and many stores in the camps and in the cities, rely on such portable units for electricity during the rolling blackouts that now afflict the Gaza Strip. They're a poor proxy for power from the cent...

END ZIO=NAZI SIEGE ON GAZA

NOVANEWS Freedom Flotilla Via Huwaida Arraf  Istanbul, Turkey – Following months of preparation, a coalition bringing together a number of organizations and movements working to break Israel’s illegal blockade on Gaza was announced yesterday in Istanbul.  The coalition, comprised of the Turkey-based IHH (Insani Yardim Vakfi) organization, the European Campaign to End the Siege on Gaza (ECESG), the Greek Ship to Gaza campaign, the Swedish Ship to Gaza campaign and the Free Gaza Movement, will launch a flotilla of ships laden with cargo, media, parliamentarians, celebrities and activists to Gaza next month.  The flotilla will be composed of at least eight vessels, including three cargo ships, and will set sail from European ports starting on May 3, reaching the port of Gaza later in the mont...
