Report from Tommy Robinson’s Unite The Kingdom fascist rally

Yaxley-Lennon and his lumpen flock are a crude domestic manifestation of the racism generated by bourgeois ideology in all imperialist countries.

Tommy Robinson, paid-up rent-a-fascist of the zionists, roused a mob devoid of rationality and fed on a diet of lies, to think and act in direct opposition to their own interests. Workers must be educated to recognise the ruling class for what it is – the true enemy of the working class.

I did a very naughty thing. Yesterday, I infiltrated the fascist demo just to investigate their ‘talking points’, and for the sake of objectivity. I did this knowing that I could get away with it owing to the relative paleness of my skin tone.

Access to the other side entailed more than just walking past a fence. Trafalgar Square is only a few yards across, but it required a detour that felt like a circumnavigation. The police blocked every conceivable access with manned double barriers, and they were out in large numbers in quasi-military formations.

Once I arrived on the fascist side, the first thing that struck me was the complete lack of ethnic diversity. It did not feel like London at all. Most of the demonstrators appeared to belong to a lower stratum of the working class. Mostly middle-aged, beer-bellied men. Some of the youngest embroidered with tattoos and holding obligatory beer cans. Cakes of make-up on the women. As for available literature, there were freely distributed copies of Bible quotations aiming to prove that Jesus himself was opposed to immigration. ‘Gott mit uns!’

The religious fundamentalist element was predominant, exploited to resemble a return to the epoch of the crusades; some were even ostentatiously wearing plastic armour and carrying toy swords. At one point, I witnessed a young male making a deliberate Nazi salute during a speech in Parliament Square. Asking him to repeat the act for the camera felt rather unsafe.

Strange, because there were plenty of Stars of David in the immediate surroundings. Another noteworthy presence was that of the Iranian monarchists, who obviously consider themselves sufficiently white to integrate and feel flattered being included among racist, nazi ranks.

The speeches were cringy: “Our wives and daughters are unsafe with this horde of predatory rapists from Asia and Africa invading our streets and populating our country.”

This racial characterisation depicts all immigrants as sex-obsessed, with nothing else on their minds but contaminating ‘our’ whiteness and purity. ‘We’ are angels and victims at the same time. Surely, we have heard all this before? Every speech essentially contained this one and only message, like a mantra: Once we get rid of all foreigners, we will enjoy peace and prosperity.

Union Jacks were wrapped round the statues of Nelson Mandela and Emily Pankhurst, essentially to desecrate them. First of all with the violent apartheid-tone of the speeches, and in the case of Emily Pankhurst by showing three girls on the stage clad in burqas. On seeing this, the crowd reacted with boos, hissing and plenty of expletives. But then, when they slowly removed their outer garments to reveal miniskirts and dresses, there was manifest approval, applause and general merriment among the spectators. Such was the cultural depth of the entertainment!

Clearly the whole event was well-funded, with rows of mobile toilets, free flags, several stages, four screens with sound systems, and even a team of street cleaners removing broken bottles and beer cans as the event unfolded.

I can confirm that the crowd was substantial, although its sum total was definitely less than half the number of those who attended the Nakba memorial march. Whilst this is a consolation, there is much work to be done to inform and educate the masses. For instance on real demographics, given the way that immigration figures are inflated for political purposes.

The reason the ruling class puts resources into organsations like Unite the Kingdom is to counteract our anti-imperialist activities and undermine efforts to build international solidarity in Britain, which remains one of the main imperialist powers. Our activities must be causing some worries to the likes of billionaires like Elon Musk and the British ruling class.

On a personal level, it felt unsafe, not just because of the open alcohol consumption, but because I was surrounded by a crowd totally devoid of rationality, and I am not sure I would wish to repeat this unpleasant experience.
